Dedicated to Research and Conservation in Texas

"Where the rough granite jetties run far out to sea,
And the water is clear and blue,
I think a big tarpon is waiting for me,
And I know one is waiting for you."

 Protecting Tarpon
for Future Generations

Texas has a long tarpon fishing heritage.  Port Aransas was once called "the tarpon rendezvous of the world."  Dignitaries from around the world traveled to our shores just to chase the Silver King.

Since the 1940's, the number of tarpon in Texas' waters have declined.  Although tarpon have recently shown signs of a resurgence in our state, anglers want answers to the previous decline to prevent history from repeating itself.

By using satellite tracking technology and raising awareness through catch-and-release tournaments like the Tarpon Tomorrow Texas Tournament Series, Tarpon Tomorrow is bringing tarpon research and conservation into the 21st century.

In the 1990's, Tarpon Tomorrow was formed with the sole purpose of raising awareness and funds for Texas tarpon research and conservation.  Today, along with its research partners, supporters and anglers, Tarpon Tomorrow is setting a new technological standard for coastal conservation in the Lone Star State.  Tarpon are back and Tarpon Tomorrow intends to keep it that way.
